Apollo 13 Crew Signed Training Document Lovell, Swigert Haise Authenticated Rare

Apollo 13 was the seventh manned mission of NASA's Apollo program and the third intended to land on the moon. The crew consisted of Commander James A. Lovell, Command Module Pilot John L. ''Jack'' Swigert and Lunar Module Pilot Fred W. Haise Jr. The mission launched on April 11, 1970 but was aborted after an oxygen tank exploded two days into the flight. Despite great hardship caused by limited power, loss of cabin heat and a shortage of water the crew safely returned to Earth on April 17. Listed for auction is a unique display which contains the authenticated autographs of the Apollo 13 crew. The display is centered around an attractive Apollo 13 color NASA crew photograph which measures 10.00 x 8.00 inches. Displayed to the side of the crew photograph is a unique document signed by Apollo 13 commander James Lovell and Lunar Module Pilot Fred Haise. This document was part of a training manual titled Apollo 13 Lunar Module Flight Crew G & N Dictionary which was used by the crew while training for their upcoming Apollo 13 mission. The page is numbered PGNS-52, dated 1/5/70 and the autographs are signed as follows, ''Used in training for Apollo 13, Fred Haise'' in black felt pen and ''James Lovell'' in black felt pen. The page measures 5.50 x 8.00 inches, it has trivial toning otherwise it is in fine condition. Mounted below the training document is the autograph of Jack Swigert [rare] signed on a card. The autograph is signed ''Jack Swigert'' in blue pen and the card measures 5.00 x 3.00 inches. The card has trivial toning otherwise it is in fine condition. Authenticity......... As with any Apollo 13 crew autographs the concern is with the authenticity of the autograph of Jack Swigert. The Swigert autograph along with the Lovell and Haise signed training document were
reviewed and authenticated by Zarelli Space Authentication and will be accompanied with the above Letters of Authenticity. Mounted at the bottom of the display is a professionally engraved metal plaque which reads as follows, ''Apollo 13 James A. Lovell : Jr. John L. Swigert : Fred W. Haise Jr.,  April 11, 1970 Mission Duration 5 days, 22 hours, 54 minutes, 41 seconds. Apollo 13 was the seventh manned mission in the Apollo space program and the third intended to land on the moon. The craft was launched on April 11, 1970 from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida but the lunar landing was aborted after an oxygen tank exploded two days later, crippling the service module upon which the command module had depended. Despite great hardship caused by limited power, loss of cabin heat, shortage of potable water, and the critical need to make makeshift repairs to the carbon dioxide removal system, the crew returned safely to Earth on April 17, 1970, six days after launch''. Mounted to the sides of the engraved plaque is an Apollo 13 mission patch and a NASA logo patch. The display itself is stunning and has been professionally assembled with the photograph, document, autograph and engraved plaque all triple matted with an grey linen outer matte and accented with a green and a blue inner matte. The display is assembled in all acid-free material and framed in a quality silver wood frame to the dimensions of 22.00 x 23.00 inches. The autographs of the Apollo 13 crew are a favorite of the space collector, especially that of Jack Swigert because of his early passing.
