For sale, an official STS-1 NASA 8x10" photograph, hand-inscribed by veteran Gemini, Apollo, and Shuttle astronaut, John Young! Obtained in-person on May 28th, 1981, only six weeks after the mission, at the Frontier Hotel "Hail, Columbia" Gala in Las Vegas!
This piece is
not signed
by the astronauts and shows auto-pen signatures however, the inscription is authentic. There is yellowing, glue residue, and some stiffening on the reverse from a previous non-archival framing. This auction does not include the B&W photograph of the event, but does include a rigid archival top-loader to the item looking great!
