STS-61F CHALLENGER Astronaut ROY BRIDGES AUTOGRAPH,HAND SIGNED8 X 10 Color Photo- Challenger STS-61F MISSION PATCH PHOTO Signed by STS-61F Astronaut ROY BRIDGES - Bachelor of science in engineering science, from the USAF Academy, 1965; master of science in astronautics from Purdue University, 1965; Major General, USAF; he flew 262 combat missions in Vietnam; test pilot; unsuccessful application for NASA astronaut group 8; hobbies: Jogging, camping, backpacking, flying; Commander of the Eastern Space and Missile Center, Patrick AFB, Florida; since March 1997 Director of NASA's Kennedy Space Center; since August 10, 2003 Center Director for the NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton, Virginia. Planned Launch Date: 15 May 1986 Primary mission intended to deploy the Ulysses solar polar orbiter with a Centaur-G upper stage. Most of the crew would fly on the first post-Challenger shuttle mission, STS-26. Ulysses itself would eventually be launched by Discovery on STS-41 with an IUS. Crew: • Frederick H.
