(1921-2006) He was the first U.S. test pilot of the X-15. In 1953,
he became the first pilot to fly at twice the speed of sound. Sadly, he died in
a plane crash. 4-3/4 x 3-1/2 b&w glossy photo, neatly inscribed and signed.
